HI MMXIII / FIRST POST OF THE YEAR
I can’t believe it’s already 2013. I wasn’t sure what to post as my first post of the year so I’ll reflect on how successful the last year has been: a new job, submitting university apps, new friends/old friends, my last teen year, a newborn nephew & just enjoying life.
I watched the ball drop last night w/Lisa, Erica & Anderson & we topped it off with lighting a couple sky lanterns at the beach. Memorable.

ANNUAL HOLIDAY PARTY 2012
That’s Erica & I in our “couple photo”, its funny cause well… ya’ know (but I actually think we look pretty cute).
So Lisa, Anderson, Quynh, Thao, Erica & I celebrated our annual holiday party yesterday. We exchanged white elephant gifts, had dinner at Seasons 52 with a sweet but stressed out waitress then swung back to Anderson’s for photos at his uber-Catholic mantle & some long talks. I love these guys.
YULETIDE @ THE CHAU’S
My family and I had a particularly memorable holiday celebration this year (with the newborn and whatnot). I cooked our dinner (cooking=love) of roast rib of beef, potatoes, string beans, yorkshire puds, & pie w/ice cream with tons of bubbly cider and a gingerbread house to top it off.
GIFTS: I got a Nexus! Meanwhile, I got Mum and Dad some nice clothes (first time buying a gift with my own hard earned money), my brother-in-law Jeff a book on molecular gastronomy & the gift I’m most proud of: a silver spoon from Tiffany & Co. for my nephew Jayden (too bad he was asleep hah).
I’ve been having a great year & it’s going to be ending on a high note. I hope everyone had an amazing holiday!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM
Made steaks w/ mash and string beans for my leading lady. Then an impromptu family portrait. Topping off the night with the last slice of carrot cake and some Brit comedy. Asking some professors for letters of recommendation tomorrow, I’ll have to act likable.
I usually never even consider this but… I think I’m going to have to pull an all nighter tonight. I just got started on my final arch project (which I’ve been bs’ing this entire month) & now that I have a clear picture of what I want I’ll probably take ages to get it together on sketchup. On top of that my professor wants a 1/16” inch model tomorrow too.
Anyways, I should stop bitching and get to designing.
